The president of the Intermunicipal Community of the Leiria Region, Jorge Vala, considered the maximum support of 60% from the Municipal Emergency Fund for the municipalities affected by the storms at the beginning of the year "manifestly insufficient," arguing that this amount should be increased to 85% or 100%, as has happened in other situations.
