Two thousand teacher positions still unfilled

One week before the start of the school year, more than two thousand teacher positions remain unfilled in Portuguese schools. This situation represents a significant challenge for the beginning of school activities. The Minister of Education expressed confidence that all vacancies will be filled soon. The ministry guarantees that the positions will be filled in time for the start of classes.

The mayor also expressed concern that significant investments in civil protection, such as the removal of waste and woody material costing over nine million euros, are not covered by the available support.
