Moscow publicly celebrated what it classified as a "historic victory" for the AfD in the German elections. Kirill Dmitriev, the Kremlin's presidential envoy, publicly praised this Monday the result of the far-right party, expressing his support explicitly.

The Russian official also highlighted the AfD's position on immigration, praising the party's stance on this issue. Dmitriev thus became Moscow's official voice to congratulate the electoral result of the far-right party in Germany.
