Jornal O Almeirinense8 September 2026 at 12:53

The Parish Council of Almeirim promotes on October 5th at 12:00 PM, at the Salão da Feteira, the 18th Senior Citizens' Meeting, an initiative that aims to gather dozens of seniors from the municipality for a social lunch. The organization is in charge of the Parish Council of Almeirim, with the support of the Municipal Council of Almeirim.

The main objective of this meeting is to promote socializing among the older population of the parish, strengthen community ties, and provide a moment of sharing between generations. Over the years, this initiative has become one of the main meeting events for the senior population of Almeirim, valuing active aging and combating social isolation.

Registrations run from September 7th to 30th and are intended for residents of the parish of Almeirim over 65 years old and registered in the parish. Residents of Tapada must complete their registration at the service point of the Parish Council located in the former primary school of the locality.
