Russia and North Korea inaugurated this Monday the first road bridge between the two countries, at an event marked by the celebration of a partnership described as an "invincible alliance." The new infrastructure represents a milestone in bilateral relations between Moscow and Pyongyang.
The first trucks decorated with Russian and North Korean flags crossed the border through the new bridge, symbolizing the strengthening of ties between the two countries. The inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives of both nations.
This land connection comes in a context of growing rapprochement between Russia and North Korea, which have been deepening their cooperation in various areas. The infrastructure aims to facilitate trade and transport between the two countries.
The road bridge constitutes a significant development in regional connectivity, allowing for the first time a direct physical road link between the Russian Federation and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
