The former CEO of Plus Ultra, Roberto Roselli, confirmed before Judge José Luis Calama, who is investigating the so-called Zap case, that the airline paid 1% of the 53 million euro rescue to businessman Julio Martínez Martínez.
The amount paid corresponds to approximately 530,000 euros and was given to the businessman, described as a friend of former Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.
Roselli testified as a witness in the proceedings investigating alleged irregularities in the granting of the public rescue to the airline Plus Ultra.
Judge José Luis Calama is responsible for conducting this investigation into the case involving the million-dollar rescue granted to the air carrier.
