Antonia Fontenelle, a digital influencer who is running for a seat in the Chamber of Deputies from Rio de Janeiro, was required to present to the Electoral Court her list of criminal proceedings pending in the Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro. According to the documentation, there are at least 20 proceedings that began between 2019 and 2023, many of which are actions for crimes against honor. These proceedings are only those pending in first instance.
Antonia is frequently the target of lawsuits due to her positions in videos posted on social media. Among those who are taking legal action against the influencer are influencer Felipe Neto and actress Giselle Itié, both suing her for their comments.
As for the electoral race, Antonia declared to the Electoral Court that her occupation is "student". She also reported owning R$ 25 thousand in assets, the same value declared in 2022, when she first ran and was not elected.
