The president of Chega Madeira, Hugo Nunes, warned yesterday about the great lack of specialized technicians in autism support in the Region. Hugo Nunes recognized the existence of this problem during a visit to the Association 'Os Grandes Azuis', an institution that supports people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their families.
During the visit, the operational bottleneck that institutions face in hiring and retaining qualified professionals was addressed. This difficulty in attracting and maintaining specialized technicians represents a significant challenge for the sector.
Hugo Nunes publicly recognized the work developed by the Association 'Os Grandes Azuis' in the archipelago, expressing sensitivity to the needs identified by the institution and the users it supports.
