The Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, was heard this Tuesday in the parliamentary committee on Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Liberties and Guarantees. This parliamentary hearing comes in the context of his governmental functions as the person responsible for the Internal Administration portfolio.
The minister's hearing coincided with a day of particular political relevance, since it took place on the same day as the voting on the motion of censure presented by the Chega party against the Government. This temporal coincidence between the ministerial hearing and the debate on a motion of censure highlights the intensity of parliamentary activity on that day.
Luís Neves was called to provide clarifications to the deputy members of the specialized parliamentary committee, where he explained and answered questions related to his governmental area. The Committee on Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Liberties and Guarantees is the body responsible for monitoring and overseeing the matters under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Administration.
