Icelandic singer Laufey, 27 years old, gave a show that closed the Sunset stage at Rock in Rio, magnetizing a crowd of teenage fans who eagerly awaited her performance. Meanwhile, on the Mundo stage, Gilberto Gil had his prolific longevity celebrated, creating a contrast between generations of artists.
Laufey took the stage in a silent film style, dressed in a red velvet dress, after an introduction of jazz and fanfare. The audience, extremely excited and waving fans, shouted "Lei-vei! Lei-vei!" until the artist's arrival.
The show featured songs from the album "A matter of time", from 2025. The song "Lovergirl", performed in a bossa nova rhythm, sent the kids into a frenzy, clapping along to the singer's commands. Then, the 1950s-style ballad called "Silver lining" created a dreamy atmosphere, interspersed with Laufey's declarations of love to Rio de Janeiro.
