Last weekend, the Germans of the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt, in eastern Germany, gave an express majority to the radical far-right and neo-Nazi party AfD (Alternative for Germany).

The AfD party, of neo-Nazi inspiration, obtained significant results in these regional elections, demonstrating a substantial growth in support for extremist forces in Germany.

In two weeks there will be new electoral acts, and in these upcoming elections, the AfD leads in the polls, indicating a worrying trend of continuity of this growth.

The author of the article acknowledges that this phenomenon of rise of extremist, totalitarian and enemy forces of Democracy is not exclusive to Germany, stating that it is happening in several countries.
