The Municipality of Boticas will provide financial support of 46 thousand euros to the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Boticas for the acquisition of a new rescue ambulance. The protocol was signed on September 3rd by the mayor, Guilherme Pires, at a meeting that was also attended by the vice-president of the association's board, Carlos Ferreira.
The new vehicle will allow the association to renew its current vehicle fleet and provide firefighters with better resources to carry out their mission, namely in the transport and assistance of patients. The investment comes within the scope of the collaboration between the Municipality and the corporation, responding to concrete needs identified in terms of available resources.
For the Municipality, the support also represents recognition of the work carried out daily by the Volunteer Firefighters of Boticas, whose intervention is essential in the protection, rescue, and safety of the population. With this acquisition, Boticas reinforces the resources available for emergency services and contributes to a more efficient and prepared response to the community's needs.
