The German brand Volkswagen agreed to sell its factory in Osnabrück, Germany, to Aurelius Capital. This transaction comes in the context of a broader project involving weapons production.
The joint project involves the participation of three main entities: Aurelius Capital, the state of Lower Saxony, and the Israeli company Rafael. These three parties have joined forces to launch this initiative in the defense sector.
The Osnabrück factory will be dedicated to weapons production, representing a significant change in the use of the industrial space that previously belonged to the Volkswagen group. Aurelius Capital now assumes management of the facility through this acquisition.
