The National Fundraiser 2026 of Europacolon Portugal will take place in Almeirim between September 25 and 27, integrated in a set of fundraising actions that will cover six locations in the Santarém district. In addition to Almeirim, actions are confirmed in Alcanena, Alpiarça, Mação, Sardoal and Vila Nova da Barquinha.
The initiative aims to raise funds to reinforce the support provided to people affected by digestive cancers, survivors, caregivers and their families. The campaign will take place on streets, commercial spaces and other collection points.
The donations collected will help ensure the continuity of services such as the Informal Caregivers Support Line, psychological and social support, and complementary therapies. The association also provides benefits through protocols with partners in the areas of health and well-being.
Part of the funds raised will also be applied to awareness and health literacy initiatives, as well as to the promotion of prevention, screening and early diagnosis of digestive cancers.
