The state funeral of Norway's King Harald V will take place next Wednesday, September 9, at Oslo Cathedral, bringing together representatives from most European monarchies and other royal houses.

The event will provide an exceptional photograph of heads of state and members of European royalty, marking a moment of great symbolic significance for the continent.

However, the ceremony will also be marked by absences of great symbolic weight, contrasting with the presence of numerous royal representatives.

The assembly expected in Oslo will include members from various European Royal Houses that will be present to pay tribute to the Norwegian monarch.
