Cuerpo advances 0.6% growth in the third quarter and maintains the 2.6% forecast for 2026

The First Vice-President and Minister of Economy, Trade and Enterprise of Spain, Carlos Cuerpo, announced this Monday that the latest indicators point to a 0.6% growth in the Spanish economy in the third quarter. During his intervention in the program 'Los Desayunos de EFE y RTVE', Cuerpo stated that the Executive maintains the objective of meeting the forecast to close 2026 with 2.6% GDP growth.

The minister indicated that the data known so far "is in line with what we expected" and that the Government feels "comfortable" with the macroeconomic framework update carried out in June. This update had established the growth target of 2.6% for the next year.

Carlos Cuerpo assured that "the pulse remains" to achieve the economic objectives set by the Spanish Executive, reinforcing confidence in the macroeconomic projections recently defined.
