Passenger transport "at risk" requests renewal of support

The National Association of Passenger Transport warned that the sector faces an estimated impact of 15 million euros due to rising fuel prices. Transport operators are calling for the renewal of the financial support they currently receive.

The current support ends in September, and without this extension, some operators warn they will not be able to continue operating. The association estimates that many passenger transport services will be put at risk.

The passenger transport sector has been facing increasing difficulties due to rising operational costs, especially with the escalation of fuel prices in recent months. The renewal of support is considered essential to guarantee the sustainability of the sector.
