The European Union's Gross Domestic Product recorded growth of 0.7% in the second quarter of 2026, while the eurozone increased by 0.6%, according to data released by Eurostat.
Portugal stood out significantly by achieving a 0.8% quarter-on-quarter increase and 2.5% year-on-year growth. This Portuguese performance surpassed the records of both the EU and the eurozone in the same period.
The data was made public by Eurostat this Monday, July 7.
