The Festival Alentejo Autêntico held a concert at Quinta do Paral, in Vidigueira, bringing together Luís Trigacheiro and the Grupo Coral da Vidigueira in an enotourism space in the region. The event, which featured American and Brazilian guests, representatives of the local community, and guests from the communication and culture sectors, concluded the festival's 2026 programming.

José Manuel Santos, president of the Regional Tourism Entity of Alentejo and Ribatejo, stated that the goal is to place musical culture increasingly at the center of the region's tourism promotion, associating music and Alentejo cante with the wine, gastronomy, and landscape of the territory. The official classified the region's musicians as great ambassadors of Alentejo.

The festival, developed by Turismo do Alentejo e Ribatejo in partnership with musician Buba Espinho, responsible for the curation, plans to hold 12 microconcerts in wineries, hotel units, and rural settings in the region, with programming until June 2027. Previously, the project had already been featured at Herdade do Sobroso and Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, during the World Summit on Responsible Wine Tourism, held in Beja.

Iran to announce new restricted zone in the Gulf and corridor at Ormuz

Iran will announce in the coming days a new restricted zone in the Persian Gulf, which will start from the point where the American blockade ends and will include sanctions for ships that enter it. In parallel, Tehran and Oman are finalizing maps for an international maritime corridor through the Strait of Hormuz, which will be under Iranian management. The announcement comes amid an exchange of attacks between Tehran and the United States, with American forces having destroyed three Iranian oil tankers on Saturday, after attacks by the Revolutionary Guard against American warships. Traffic of goods through the Strait of Hormuz has dropped to just 10 ships per day, the lowest level since May.

Capitol Invaders Demand Compensation and Sue the State

Several invaders of the United States Capitol are suing the federal government seeking compensation totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. The lawsuits are based on the argument that authorities created a "false narrative" by characterizing the events of January 6, 2021 as an insurrection. The defendants' lawyers claim their clients were induced to believe they could enter the building legitimately, and that security forces did not prevent them from entering, suggesting the visit was authorized.
