The price of free housing rose 12.2% in the second quarter of the year compared to the same period in 2025, representing the lowest rate since the first quarter of last year, when it also increased by 12.2%, according to the Housing Price Index (IPV) of the National Statistics Institute (INE) published this Monday.
This data represents a moderation in the growth rate of housing prices, which nonetheless continues with a significant upward trend in the Spanish market.
The IPV indicates that this quarterly increase corresponds to the forty-ninth consecutive quarter of housing price increases, demonstrating a sustained growth trend over more than a decade.
The data was collected and published by the INE, the body responsible for official statistics in Spain, offering a detailed view of the evolution of the real estate market in the country.
