Princess Leonor of Spain began this Monday her classes at the Carlos III University of Madrid, at the Getafe campus, in the south of the Spanish capital. The heir to the crown enrolled in the Degree in Political Sciences at that public institution.
Since the beginning of the morning, dozens of journalists, cameras and photographers concentrated at the entrance of the Adolfo Posada building, where the Princess of Asturias arrived a few minutes before nine o'clock.
Hundreds of nervous students also crossed the campus to attend the first classes of the course, although none of them had as much media attention as she did.
Leonor's choice of Carlos III, a public university, marks a change in relation to the tradition of the Spanish royal family, which usually attended private institutions.
