Candidates from these parties have begun including criticisms of the Court and the defense of changes in the Judiciary as main flags of their campaigns.
The theme gained new electoral momentum after the revelation of messages exchanged between banker Daniel Vorcaro and Minister Alexandre de Moraes. The episode prompted a reaction from Moraes, who made accusations against colleague André Mendonça, expanding the internal crisis at the court.
Previously concentrated in the right-wing field, the discourse critical of the STF is now shared by center parties that support the federal government. The strategy seeks to capitalize on the erosion of the court's image among voters.
