The parish of Espinhal hosted the event "Sweet Gold", dedicated to the enhancement of beekeeping and local products. The initiative brought together 16 beekeepers who presented their products, highlighting the importance of the activity for the region.
The event also featured 25 exhibitors of endogenous products and 18 of crafts, promoting the diversity of local production and the work of local artisans. The event sought to give visibility to small producers and traders of the parish.
During the event, the President of the Municipal Assembly launched a challenge for the creation of a Honey Museum, defending the preservation of beekeeping tradition as cultural heritage of the region. The proposal aims to perpetuate the knowledge associated with honey production.
The "Sweet Gold" demonstrated the resilience and tradition of the Espinhal community in defending its economic and cultural activities, bringing together participants from different sectors around the enhancement of local resources.
