Almost half a million people enrolled in higher education in 2024/2025, representing a 30 percent increase compared to the number of enrollees in the last decade. This significant growth was explained by PORDATA through the increase in the number of students in undergraduate and master's degrees.

Additionally, there was also an increase of 5,844 students in higher professional technical courses, as well as a growth of 4,753 students in doctoral programs. These data demonstrate a widespread expansion across all levels of higher education.
