Madeira's hotel industry has been recording the highest growth rates in bed occupancy and room occupancy among the main tourist destinations analyzed since 2019. This performance positions the region as a leader in hotel sector growth, gaining ground on the competition.
The news is featured in today's print edition of DIÁRIO, occupying pages 6 and 7, where detailed data on this positive trend in Madeiran hospitality is presented.
However, the article also addresses Porto Santo, which is preparing a program of 100 new houses to diversify the island's tourism offer. The Municipal Council has already purchased land in Campo de Cima for this purpose and also has another municipal area nearby.
The construction program for the 100 new houses in Porto Santo will be carried out by the municipality, in an effort to strengthen the island's accommodation capacity and attract more tourists to the region.
