The Rangers Paintball Club team from Póvoa de Varzim represented the municipality at the European Paintball Championship held in France, bringing the colors of the district to one of the most important competitions in the sport at the European level. The Póvoa side began their participation with a five-all draw and a loss in the group stage, results that, however, kept the hope alive of reaching the next phase of the competition.
Despite the determination shown by the athletes and the fight carried out until the last moment, the team ultimately failed to secure qualification for the finals, ending their performance in the group stage. The club recognizes, however, that the presence at the European Championship is a source of pride, considering that the event brings together some of the best European teams in the sport.
The participation among the elite of European paintball reflects the work, dedication, and growth that the club has been developing over the past few years. The international experience and the contact with teams of high competitive level represent an important added value for the future of the team, which continues to establish itself as a national reference in the sport.
