On the third day of Rock in Rio, held on Sunday the 6th, rain and cold wind took over the City of Rock, making the audience swap the traditional beer for coffee to warm up during the show marathon. The festival featured an electronic and pop music lineup, with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris as one of the big stars of the day.
The weather change forced attendees to adapt their strategies. Rain ponchos became essential items, being sold for R$40 at the event. Many chose hot drinks to ward off the cold of the evening.
The couple Mateus Almeida, 34 years old and a systems analyst, and Carolina Leite, 33 years old, were examples of this adaptation. They secured a cup refill for R$16 to try to warm up. Mateus, who declared himself a beginner in the drink, said they were migrating to coffee due to the drop in temperature.
Carolina, in turn, revealed she is a caffeine lover, taking on the title of "coffee addict". She explained that her love for coffee was already part of her routine, but the festival conditions reinforced this choice.
