USA, Kyiv and European capitals agree on new meeting in the coming weeks

Donald Trump's envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, made their first visit to Kiev on Sunday, September 6. Before this trip to the Ukrainian capital, the two had met on Saturday with Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

During this visit to Kiev, the American representatives reached agreement with the Ukrainian authorities and with European capitals on holding a new meeting in the coming weeks.

This trip comes in the context of diplomatic efforts to try to reach a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, after more than two years of armed conflict.

Ukraine: US, Kiev and European capitals agree on new meeting in the coming weeks

Envoys from the White House, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, met this Sunday in Kiev with President Zelensky and representatives from Germany, France and the United Kingdom, agreeing to hold a new meeting in the coming weeks to discuss the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Kushner said Putin is willing to continue dialogue and that the US will work with European capitals and Kiev to find ways to move the peace process forward.
