A Boeing 767 cargo plane operated by Amazon left the runway and ended up blocking a road near Miami International Airport in the United States on this Sunday. Images obtained by NBC 6 show the aircraft partially on fire, while a large amount of black smoke rose from the wreckage. The plane had just landed at the airport, around 2 p.m., after departing from San Juan, in Puerto Rico, and the accident occurred shortly after.
Videos recorded at the scene show cars and trucks stopped nearby while the fire reached part of the fuselage. Despite the scale of the accident, the Boeing 767 appeared to be relatively intact and without breaking apart completely. Other videos shared on social media show the aircraft already on the ground, right after the airport runway.
There is still no official information about the circumstances that caused the incident or about the extent of the damage. The images indicate that the plane may have veered off course during landing, crossing the runway and stopping on the road near the airport.
