The pianist Maria João Pires announced today the launch of the first edition of the "MJP Piano Academy", an online space dedicated to piano teaching. This academy represents a new project in the career of the renowned Portuguese musician.
The academy expects to open registrations for masterclasses shortly, which will be held in person at the Centro de Artes de Belgais. This traditional space of the Portuguese artist will thus welcome participants who wish to deepen their knowledge of piano performance skills.
Maria João Pires is one of the most internationally recognized Portuguese pianists, with a decades-long career dedicated to classical music. The creation of this online academy now allows her to share her experience and teaching method with a wider audience.
