The Volunteer Firefighters of Vila Praia de Âncora celebrated a festive afternoon with the blessing of an ambulance and a forest fire combat vehicle. The event represented an important moment for the corporation, which saw its operational resources reinforced with the arrival of these two vehicles.
During the ceremony, several appointments and promotions were made. Rui Amorim took office as second commander, Luís Miguel Vieira was promoted to subchief and Nuno Silva became chief of the Roll of Honour. These changes aim to strengthen the command structure of the corporation.
Laurinda Araújo, president of the Humanitarian Association of the Volunteer Firefighters of Vila Praia de Âncora, highlighted that the institution remains strong, cohesive and dedicated to its mission. The president emphasized the importance of having new operational resources on the streets, a reinforced command and the inspiration of the veterans as pillars for the future of the corporation.
