The Civil Police arrested four men this Sunday (6) in Duque de Caxias, in Baixada Fluminense, suspected of being part of a gang responsible for at least 20 luxury vehicle thefts. The arrest was carried out by agents from the 59th Police Station (Duque de Caxias), with support from the Military Police, at the intersection of Rua Orlando Teixeira and Avenida Brigadeiro Lima e Silva.
According to the Civil Police, part of the stolen vehicles was destined for Comando Vermelho and taken to communities controlled by the faction in different regions of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The investigators identified the suspects after cross-referencing information with the municipal monitoring system and identifying the vehicle used by the group.
During the search, materials that, according to police, were used in the criminal actions were seized. The article also indicates that the arrested men would be responsible for a series of luxury car thefts in the region.
