The Cantanhede City Council, in the Coimbra district, announced today the creation of a multimodal interface near the old railway station in the city. This infrastructure aims to bring together different modes of transport in a single location, making mobility easier for citizens.
The project comes within the scope of enhancing a space that has been underutilized since the railway line closed. The local authority thus intends to give a new function to this area of the city.
The initiative is part of a broader strategy to modernize the municipality's transport infrastructure. This intervention should help improve connections between the different means of transport available in the region.
