The Coimbra City Council will analyze at tomorrow's meeting, September 7, a proposal to cede two buildings in the Baixa of the city to house the Miguel Torga Institute.

The municipality intends to cede the spaces for the installation of this cultural institution, which will thus be located in the historic center of Coimbra.

The Miguel Torga Institute is an institution dedicated to the memory and work of writer Miguel Torga, one of the most important figures in Portuguese literature.

The cession of the municipal buildings aims to provide better facilities for the Institute's activities, contributing to the cultural enhancement of the historic zone of Coimbra.
