The parish of Ferral, in the municipality of Montalegre, now has a new Multi-Purpose Pavilion, which was inaugurated to strengthen the offer of spaces for sporting, cultural, recreational, and social activities. The infrastructure represented an investment exceeding 200 thousand euros and serves the population and local associations.
The inauguration ceremony took place at a time particularly connected to the agricultural and livestock activity of the parish, coinciding with the ongoing renovation of the space where the traditional Ferral Livestock Show is held. The president of the Municipal Council of Montalegre, Fátima Fernandes, highlighted the importance of both investments for Ferral and the surrounding territory.
According to the mayor, the new pavilion can serve not only the local population, but also producers, associations, and communities from neighboring parishes and municipalities, creating better conditions for different activities and strengthening the capacity to host community initiatives.
Fátima Fernandes also emphasized that the intervention at the Livestock Show venue should improve accessibility, entrances, and conditions provided to visitors and producers, hoping that the work will be completed for the next edition of the event. With this new facility, Ferral strengthens its network of community equipment and gains a space to boost the associative and community life of the parish.
