The Professional School of Rural Development of Rodo (EPDR Rodo), the only public agricultural school in the Douro that produces Port Wine, promotes the second edition of the Harvest Festival at Quinta do Rodo. This initiative is dedicated to celebrating the vineyard, the grape and the winemaking traditions of the Douro region.
The program begins with an opening ceremony followed by a late harvest, musical moments and a guided visit to the most emblematic locations of Quinta do Rodo. The morning also includes a Harvest Lunch in the vineyards themselves.
During the afternoon, participants can attend various workshops dedicated to the grape, wine and vineyard, run by the school's courses and training programs. The day ends with a sunset in the vineyard and the presentation of Quinta do Rodo Olive Oil, accompanied by wine and gastronomic tasting moments.
The celebration aims to showcase the products, knowledge and training linked to the agricultural and winemaking sector of the Douro, thus promoting the work developed by the educational institution.
