Tight household budget? There are still products in supermarkets for up to 1 euro

Público6 September 2026 at 07:56

Economic pressure has led many families to seek alternatives to keep household budgets under control. Salaries that don't keep up with inflation, high supermarket prices, and increasingly expensive rents are part of the scenario that forces consumers to tighten their belts.

In this context, many supermarkets still offer affordable products for up to 1 euro, representing an option for those who need to reduce spending on food and essential items. The variety of these products can vary, but includes everything from basic foods to cleaning products.

Personal finance experts point out that there is no shame in researching prices and seeking cheaper alternatives. According to them, comparing between establishments and looking for promotions are recommended practices for those who want to balance their accounts.

The guidance from experts reinforces that adapting to a tighter budget should not be seen as a failure, but as an intelligent family financial management strategy.
