Two skiers survived a major avalanche at Cerro Chapelco, located in San Martín de los Andes, Neuquén province, Argentina. The episode was captured on camera and went viral on social networks.

The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon, when two people were skiing in an area commonly called "the edge" (el filo). The area is located nearly 2,000 meters above sea level and is not authorized for skiing, in addition to receiving no maintenance or control work.

According to the recorded images, the skiers were descending in a zigzag when a large mass of snow came down from the upper part of the mountain. In the video, it is possible to observe the tracks that the people left in their passage and the exact moment the avalanche appeared.
