Funchal Professional Firefighters Grand Prix features new route

The 26th edition of the Professional Firefighters Company of Funchal / "Carlinhos" Fernandes Grand Prix takes place on Sunday. This year the event features new features to the route, which have been changed compared to previous editions.

The Grand Prix is organized by the Professional Firefighters Company of Funchal, in partnership with the Athletics Association of Madeira. This race aims to support the institution and promotes sport in the region.

The event is dedicated to the memory of "Carlinhos" Fernandes, lending his name to the competition. The race represents a consolidated tradition in the region, maintaining itself for more than two decades.
