Lisbon is preparing to receive an immersive experience dedicated to the universe. Starting September 17, the underground hall of Terreiro do Paço Metro Station will host Smithsonian Journey Through the Cosmos: An Experience, an event that promises to take the public on a journey through the stars without leaving the city.
The exhibition is based on the Smithsonian collection and explores themes such as the Hubble telescope, distant galaxies and black holes. Visitors will have the opportunity to dive into these cosmic realities through a visual and immersive experience.
The event arrives in Lisbon at a time when the Portuguese capital is consolidating its cultural and tourist offering, attracting both residents and visitors interested in science and astronomy. The choice of the metro station as a location reflects a trend of bringing cultural experiences to high-traffic public spaces.
