Hooded far-right protesters block British port of Dover

Público5 September 2026 at 16:18

Hooded far-right protesters blocked the road accesses to Dover Port, the busiest in the United Kingdom. The blockade lasted for several hours, causing disruptions to traffic and the port's operations.

After several hours of protest, the road accesses to the port were reopened. Authorities managed to restore traffic flow without any violent incidents being recorded during the blockade action.

The protest brought together far-right elements, identified by the hoods they were wearing, at a time of political tensions in the United Kingdom. Dover Port is a strategic infrastructure for trade and travel between the United Kingdom and continental Europe.
