Moreirense visited Porto at the Estádio do Dragão this Friday, in the opening match of the fifth round of Liga Portugal, in a game where the cónegos managed to score for the first time the dragões had conceded a goal this season in the league. The Minho side started the game better and took the lead at the 20th minute, with Dinis Pinto scoring after a decisive pass from João Veloso, the midfielder on loan from Benfica to Moreirense.

João Veloso left his mark on a highly demanding challenge for the Moreira de Cónegos team, by providing the assist that put the visitors ahead on the scoreboard. This goal represented a special milestone for the Minho side, as it symbolized the first time the Porto defense had been breached in Liga Portugal this season.

Porto did not take long to respond and restored parity still in the first half, through Bednarek. The blues and whites completed the comeback at the 58th minute, with William Gomes scoring Porto's second goal, securing a 2-1 victory over Moreirense.
