The 8th International Ascent of the Mira River in K4, named Jorge Domingos Trophy, took place on September 13th in Vila Nova de Milfontes, in the municipality of Odemira. The event is one of the most emblematic canoeing competitions held in Portugal.

The event brought together national and international athletes in a competition that takes place on the Mira River, one of the most characteristic watercourses of the Alentejo Litoral region. The K4 event refers to the four-person kayak category, one of the most traditional modalities of canoeing.

The trophy is dedicated to Jorge Domingos, a relevant figure in the Portuguese canoeing universe. This competition has established itself over its editions as a reference event in the national and international sporting calendar of this modality.
