SAPO Notícias5 September 2026 at 09:48

The mobile application (APP) for visiting the permanent collection of the Covilhã Museum achieved a historic milestone by receiving the gold accessibility seal. This recognition represents a historic moment, as it constitutes the first time that this State award has been attributed to mobile applications in Portugal.

Covilhã stands out as a leader in cultural accessibility by providing a fully inclusive museum. The application was developed to ensure that all visitors, regardless of their abilities, can fully enjoy the museological experience.

The gold accessibility seal recognizes the commitment of the Covilhã Museum to inclusion and technological innovation. This achievement positions the municipality as a national reference regarding digital accessibility in cultural contexts.

Tesla's Cybercab is under scrutiny from US regulator since launch

NHTSA opened an investigation from the first day of Tesla's Cybercab commercial launch, the autonomous electric vehicle without steering wheel or pedals intended for taxi services. The regulator wants to evaluate the process and technical data used by Tesla to certify the vehicle, since federal regulations still require steering wheel and pedals for commercial operations, and Tesla did not request the necessary exemption, having only self-declared compliance with safety standards. NHTSA warned that existing standards remain in force while the review of regulations to incorporate technological innovations is underway. The Cybercab currently operates in a very limited area of Austin, with an estimated fleet of around 1,000 vehicles, including 45 registered in Texas.
