WhatsApp is preparing to stop working on a wide range of old smartphones running the Android operating system. Meta, the company that owns the application, confirmed that it will cut support for these devices.

The messaging application, which is the most popular on the planet, will cease to operate on all equipment covered by this decision. This measure is part of Meta's strategy to discontinue support for outdated versions of Android.

Affected users will be notified and should consider upgrading to a more recent or alternative device if they wish to continue using WhatsApp. This is not the first time the platform has removed support for older smartphones.
