Portimonense Players Bet on Their Own Defeat

The Disciplinary Committee of the Portuguese Football Federation has initiated disciplinary proceedings against 26 Portimonense players for betting on their own team's defeat. The players in question are already suspended. The Algarve club competed in the Championship of Portugal last season. The penalties imposed range from fines to suspensions between six months and three years.
