Air France-KLM and Lufthansa submitted an offer to purchase 44.9% of TAP. The offered price ranges between one billion and 1.2 billion euros.
The values presented are higher than the company's previous valuations. However, this amount represents only a third of the money that the Portuguese State injected into TAP.
The operation involves the two largest European airlines as buyers, at a time of restructuring and partial privatization of the Portuguese airline.
