A whale appeared at Leblon Beach, in Rio's South Zone, and provided a true spectacle to the beachgoers who were on the sand on a sunny Friday. The animal performed acrobatics and jumps near the sand, drawing applause from those who watched the improvised show in the sea.

The appearance happened at the stretch of the beach near Avenida Afrânio de Melo Franco. The whale did not spare any jumps a few meters from the sand, leaving those present amazed by the animal's display.

The moment was recorded by beachgoers and shared on social media, causing a sensation among users. The netizen Rafael Sampaio posted on a social network: "You are at Leblon and out of nowhere a whale decides to put on a show".

The event coincided with the opening of Rock in Rio, a festival that was about to begin in the city, attracting an audience of 100,000 people per day and changing Rio's routine.
