The boyfriend of an ex-partner was shot dead in Barakaldo yesterday afternoon. The alleged assassin fired at the victim, a 48-year-old man, from a vehicle, hitting him several times before fleeing the scene. The victim's motorcycle remained at the crime scene, where investigations were underway.
The victim was resuscitated and taken to hospital, where he died this morning. Today, his work colleagues and friends remembered him with distress. A neighbour witnessed the moments following the murder and cooperated with the authorities.
The alleged assassin was located 40 kilometres from the crime scene. In his vehicle, a shotgun was found, the weapon allegedly used in the shooting. He currently remains in police custody, awaiting presentation to justice.
