On the first day of Rock in Rio 2026, discomfort in the feet was the main cause of medical care at the festival, even surpassing dehydration cases, which came in second place. The temperature reached 34°C with strong sun, according to Alerta Rio, the city's meteorological system.
The City of Rock has six medical stations spread throughout the event. In just one of them, until 7 PM, more than 50 people sought care complaining of foot wounds. A nurse explained that they are generally people who come with a single pair of shoes and end up developing calluses from so much walking, being advised to bandage their feet and rest before returning to the event.
Among the recorded cases is that of fan Deise Rosa, 57 years old, who adopted the strategy of alternating between moments of rest and walking to avoid hurting her feet during the festival.
